Leo Stemp
Violin and Brass Teacher
Leo Stemp is a gifted young Musician and former Dansworks student from Bacup, he studies with professional musicians Neil Fulton on trumpet and Ian Buckle on piano, greatly enjoying his music studies. Leo has performed recitals across the northwest from an early age and was previously a winner of the Phillip McCann international slow melody competition on cornet, as well as numerous festivals.
He has a lot of orchestral experience and is currently a member of the National Youth Orchestra who tour the UK 3 times a year finishing at the Royal Albert Hall at the BBC Proms​ and is principal solo cornet of the 2nd Rossendale Scout Band. Leo has been principal trumpet of the Hallé Youth Orchestra for 2 years, performing regularly at the Bridgewater Hall which is something he loves.
Leo has appeared as guest principal trumpet with amateur orchestras in the northwest and is looking forward to performing a concerto in the summer as a guest soloist with Blackpool Symphony Orchestra.
He enjoys going to as many Hallé and BBC Philharmonic Orchestra concerts at the Bridgewater Hall as he can in his free time, and studies Music, English Language and Spanish at college as well as teaching piano and brass instruments.
