Where the Passion Begins
Anne Cartridge
Mental Health & Mindfulness Coach
Anne is an Integrative Therapist, Stress Management Trainer, Mindfulness Practitioner and Clinical Supervisor. Her practice, In Mind Therapies, is based in Waterfoot, Rossendale, where she works with adults, young people and children, delivers staff wellbeing training to organisations, as well as supporting staff and pupils in schools, colleges and Universities.
A passionate advocate for mental health early intervention, Anne is the founder of the Positive Minds School Wellbeing Programme. This offers a wide range of emotional wellbeing support, education and coaching for children, young people, families and schools.
Anne has a performing arts background and after gaining her degree from Reading University, lived and worked down South for a number of years before returning to Rossendale. Here, she began to use performance arts therapeutically and within educational settings, creating and developing programmes to help young people raise their aspirations, self-esteem and confidence.
After retraining to become a therapist, Anne is committed to continually developing her own practice and this year has undertaken further training with The Anna Freud Children and Family’s Centre, The Bowlby Centre, The International Attachment Network, Calm Minds and Action for Trauma. Anne is also one of a small number of UK therapists who trained with international experts in the field of trauma, with the charity Heads Up, to become one of the first UK Emergency Psychological Response Teams trained to deliver psychological support at the scene of a terrorist attack or disaster.
Family wellbeing is an important focus of Anne’s work and more recently, she has been one of a team of practitioners and health professionals working on the Mum’s Matter Wellbeing project, led by GP Emma Gladwinfield. Mum’s Matter offers free health and wellbeing workshops and support to families in the local community.
“There has never been a more urgent time to support our children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing, so I am beyond excited to be working with the Dansworks family. I will look forward to meeting you all and I hope together we can make a positive difference in these difficult times” Anne Cartridge.
