Hi everyone at the Dansworks family! I really hope you are keeping safe and well during these difficult times.
It’s Children’s Mental Health Week from 1st-7th Feb 21 and this year the theme is EXPRESS YOURSELF, so we’re shining the spotlight on ways to help children and young people maintain positive mental health - and we need your help!
- All this week, we’re spreading the important message that “it’s ok to feel.” All emotions are ok and encouraging speaking about thoughts and feelings, is a positive way you can support your child’s mental health and wellbeing.
- We know that it can be difficult to share our feelings through talking, but the good news is that creative activities are a great way to express and manage thoughts and feelings healthily, too!
- We would really love it if the #dansworksfamily would get involved in this important week and send us your “Express Yourself” pictures and tell us what helps to make you feel good right now. Whether it’s colouring a picture, singing, baking, wearing something that you love - or dancing, what matters most is we’re kickstarting those important conversations about feelings.
- Send us your children’s Express Yourself pictures (please ask your child’s permission to share), and we will feature them on both Dansworks and In Mind Therapies/Positive Minds School Wellbeing Programme social media to celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week!
- These are challenging times, but together we can make a positive and lasting difference to children and young people. Watch out for posts from In Mind Therapies this week with information and tips on supporting children’s mental health.
